Treasure Travel Tours

One of the many many open air antique markets.
We are now pleased to offer all of you out there a fantastic chance to join us in our little "Treasure Hunts" through the north of Italy, taking you to our secret little flea markets, antique dealers and various other hard to find locations where we do our own hunting. After several years of doing this for ourselves we have come to realise that for many of you out there, coming to Italy and finding the right places to hunt is nearly impossible unless you know both the area and the language. So we thought, seeing as we speak Italian, English and even French, "Why not offer other people the chance to find some great Italian antiques?"... and so... we have come up with some high personal tour ideas with us as your guides!

Each of the tour options below are for a maximum of 2 people only, ensuring a completely personal tour. This gives us the chance to find out about what you are looking for and help you as best we can in finding the right item, shop, market or even dealer for any budget no matter how big or small.

Accommodation is in a 17th century Villa along the very historical river "Adda", next to a ruined castle built in the 11th century which once was a stronghold of the Lombardi who once dominated Northern Italy. The villa offers not only an excellent position to visit the beautiful River Adda and it's many historical monuments such as Leonardo di Vinci's lock system which was the very first canal lock system in the world, but the Villa also offers riverside golfing facilities at the golf club Paradiso to help unwind after a hard day's treasure hunting. And seeing as it is in one of Italy's truly hidden culinary regions, it also boasts an exquisite "Enoteca" (Wine Cellar & Local Cuisine).

Upon arrival at Bergamo's Airport (Orio al Serio with Ryanair), we will pick you up and take you to your hotel to check-in and perhaps discuss a little of what you are looking to find or even perhaps to discuss the types of items/periods you would like to see.

The following morning we will meet you bright and early to begin the treasure hunt at several local antique or second-hand stores which are known only to locals. After a morning of treasure hunting, its lunch at a local restaurant serving only local delicacies and of course some excellent wine. Following this another afternoon of hunting at several other hard to find vintage markets or stores followed by a relaxing evening back at your hotel enjoying the joys of the hotels fabulous menu and even better wine list.

Sunday morning gets off to an early start with a tour of one of the many monthly flea markets in which incredibly interesting items and even better prices often turn up. A quick lunch is to be had at one the many pizzeria to be found followed by another antique street market then its off back to the airport for your trip home with your arms bulging with new found treasures!
